ScHoolboy Q Teases a New Album in 2017
Is ScHoolboy Q already gearing up for another album next year?
The TDE rapper, who just wrapped up the Blank Face LP tour in Birmingham, UK on Dec. 15, shared on his Instagram that he’s ready to drop again in 2017.
Given Top Dawg Entertainment’s tradition of releasing albums every year, don’t be surprised if Top Dawg and Dave Free put this on their release calendar. In 2016, the label dropped five projects in total: from Kendrick Lamar, Isaiah Rashad, Lance Skiiiwalker, Ab-Soul, and Q. If Q follows through on his promise, and SZA’s long-awaited debut, A, does come out, we’re in for a pretty active 2017.
Q’s Blank Face LP follow-up would be his fifth studio album. Over the years, he’s worked with Kanye West, E-40, Jadakiss, Tyler, the Creator, 2 Chainz, ASAP Rocky, and many more. Once he gets in the studio, you can probably expect some guest features from your favorites, as well as some beats from his go-to producers like Sounwave, Nez & Rio, and THC.
