SiR Shares Sultry Single “Ooh Nah Nah” feat. Masego

Last year, TDE announced they would share music from two new artists they vaguely referred to as John Doe 1 and John Doe 2. As 2016 came to a close, it seemed as if John Doe 2’s music never got the chance to be meet the release deadline. However, TDE founder Anthony Tiffith revealed via Twitter that they had secretly released John Doe 2’s music earlier in the year—encouraging fans to guess who this artist might have been.

Many clues led us to believe that Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter SiR must be their secret artist. Earlier this month, TDE finally made the official announcement that John Doe 2 was in fact SiR, and shared a video for his new single “W$ Boi” to go along with the big news. This week, SiR returns with yet another new single.

SiR has a pretty laid-back sound that can vary from head-bopping tracks like “W$ Boi” or sexier, mood-setting singles like his new single “Ooh Nah Nah.” For his latest track, SiR delivers seductive vocals over a hazy rhythm. Virginia vocalist and saxophone player Masego adds his own flare to the end of the track with additional instrumentation and his signature jazzy scat singing.

The result is a spell-binding single that picks up right where SiR’s last Her EP left off, and offers a great preview of what fans can expect to hear on his forthcoming Her Too EP due out on February 10.
