Lil Uzi Vert has been able to do what he’s wanted since he’s broken onto the rap scene with his unique vocal style and cadence. The 22-year-old Philadelphia-born rapper has a style that stands out as much as his music, and it makes him perfect to be the newest guest on Sneaker Shopping with Joe La Puma.

Uzi and La Puma met at A Ma Maniere, a high-end boutique owned by James Whitner, in Atlanta and took the episode in a different direction than most that came before it. Not only does he talk about expensive sneakers like Golden Goose, but he also brings his friends to the store, too. Uzi recently had his single “Do What I Want” used in a Jordan Brand commercial for Russell Westbrook’s new sneakers, and he explains how major that was for him. Aside from sneakers, he also reveals how he was inspired by Marilyn Manson and G.G. Allin.
