Stream Murda Beatz’ ‘Keep God First’ Mixtape That Premiered on OVO Sound Radio
Though Drake’s More Life project was absent from this week’s episode of OVO Sound Radio, listeners were treated to a new mixtape by guest DJ, Murda Beatz.
The 22-year-old producer kicked things off by revealing the name of the project, Keep God First. He then shared the entire tape, which included collaborations by everyone from PARTYNEXTDOOR and 2 Chainz to Jeremih and Ty Dolla Sign. Of course, members of the Migos crew also make a number of cameos.
“If it wasn’t for God I wouldn’t be where I am today,” Murda told Complex via text message. “Always believe in the higher power and yourself. I did this for the fans and music.. thank u [sic] guys.. Keep God First.”

The Murda Beatz exclusive wasn’t the only highlight of the episode. Just minutes into the show, host Oliver El-Khatib dropped some big news about Drake’s forthcoming project, More Life.
“More Life top of 2017,” he said. “Drake is in the studio chefing up magic.”
Again, it was big news, but not exactly good news. During Drake’s birthday edition of OVO Sound Radio in October, he revealed the project would be some kind of playlist that would drop before the end of the year.
“I’m off like mixtapes, I want to do a playlist. I want to give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life, so this More Life: The Playlist,” he said. “Like I said, dropping in December. All original music from me. You might hear some tunes from the family on there.”
While we have to wait a few more weeks for More Life, Murda has blessed us with some new tunes to hold us down.
