Trump Inaugural Concert to Feature 3 Doors Down, Toby Keith, and Jon Voight

On Friday, Donald Trump’s Inaugural Committee announced the lineup for their ‘Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration’ (yes, that’s really the name). It’s a concert on January 19, the day before the inauguration, that will “be broadcast live to the nation from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.”

The talent for this epic show? Hold on to your hats.

It will feature historic remarks from President-elect Donald J. Trump and special appearances from Toby Keith, Jon Voight, Jennifer Holliday, The Piano Guys, Lee Greenwood, RaviDrums, 3 Doors Down, and The Frontmen of Country (featuring Tim Rushlow, former lead singer of “Little Texas”, Larry Stewart of “Restless Heart” and Richie McDonald of “Lonestar”).

3 Doors Down confirmed their participation via Instagram.

Observers couldn’t help but notice the difference in the prominence of performers at the inaugural events of Trump and his predecessor:

More than one person noted that while Bruce Springsteen performed at Barack Obama’s inauguration, Trump’s Garden State Gala will feature…a Springsteen tribute band.

Holliday, a seasoned Broadway performer who is African American, has received a lot of criticism since her involvement in the concert was announced. “It brought a lot of threats from people already saying I’ll never work again,” she told the New York Times. “I know everybody hates me now, but that shows we are all just hateful people now—we don’t even want to work together… I don’t have a dog in this fight—I’m just a singer, and it’s a welcome concert for the people on the mall.”
