Watch ASAP Mob Perform “Crazy Brazy” on ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’
ASAP Mob never fails to put on a great show.
On Thursday night, the collective made their debut appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, performing their Cozy Tapes Vol. 1 single “Crazy Brazy.” Atlanta rapper Key! joined ASAP Rocky and ASAP Twelvyy on the stage, which was set up to look like a mental hospital, complete with patients and nurses.
“Crazy Brazy” is the second single off ASAP Mob’s Cozy Tapes Vol. 1, their first collective project that was released back in October. The mixtape served as a tribute to the crew’s late member ASAP Yams, who passed away in early 2015. In the days leading up to the mixtape’s release, ASAP Rocky spoke to Genius about the project, saying it was the mob’s intention to stay true to Yams’ vision.
“Yams’ vision was just what we doing right now. Me being so eclectic, it shouldn’t be my vision because I have my own vision,” Rocky said. “It’s all about us moving as a group collectively to where it reveals and it shows everybody’s individual personality. I don’t want ASAP to look like a bunch of mini-mes because I came out first, and that’s the Yammy vision, just to be ourselves and keep it moving.”
The Colbert performance comes just a day after Rocky unveiled the lineup for this year’s Yams Day. Artist like Lil Uzi Vert, Cam’ron, Danny Brown, and, of course, ASAP Mob will perform at the second annual event, which is scheduled to go down next week.
