We Finally Know Where Those ‘Vintage’ Pics of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Were Shot
The location for the recent series of vintage-fashioned photos Kim Kardashian shared across social media has been revealed. The photos were snapped at legendary producer Rick Rubin‘s Malibu residence, TMZ reported Friday. Rubin, who previously worked with Kanye West on Yeezus and The Life of Pablo, reportedly offered the home as a place for him to “get his mind right” following his hospitalization last year.
While conspiracy theorists criticized the photo set on social media as an attempt to stage an everyday American aesthetic, TMZ confirms that wasn’t the case. The “sparsely furnished home” was instead West’s post-hospital getaway. The photos, the sharing of which marked Kardashian’s formal return to social media, are indeed real and were intended to capture a “challenging time” for West and his family.
The past few months have been particularly challenging for the family. Prior to West’s hospitalization, Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint inside her Paris apartment. After months of investigation and speculation, local authorities announced this week that charges had been filed against four suspects in connection with the October robbery.
According to the Guardian, French authorities filed the first charges Thursday and may announce additional charges soon. A 63-year-old suspect listed only as “Yunice A,” among others, was hit with preliminary charges of armed robbery in an organized gang, kidnapping, and criminal association.
