Kodak Black failed to follow the terms of his probation in relation to the federal gun case. According to court documents, Kodak was placed in the residential program for 90 days to receive treatment for his failure to comply with his supervision. According to legal documents filed Sept. 2, Yak (whose government name is now Bill K. Kapri) was summoned for violating a mandatory condition by illegally possessing or using controlled substances.
Black was in a 46-month sentence for gun charges. He was released by the former President Trump in January.
This news comes after Kodak announced that Maranda Johnson, his girlfriend, is pregnant with his second child. They have been together for four years and are reportedly expecting a girl in the late 2021 to early 2022. TMZ reports that Black was “ecstatic” about having a girl and had already started shopping for gifts for her. After King, a 6-year-old boy from a previous relationship, this will be Black’s second child.
After Kodak’s friend and lawyer Bradford Cohen applauded him speaking to those dealing with addiction at Broward County Courthouse via Zoom, Cohen shared a video of Kodak speaking to an audience at the Broward County Courthouse via Zoom. The caption read, “Kodak speaks in front of an addiction group.” He shares his personal struggles and issues, as well as the things that he believes are essential to a sober lifestyle.
Cohen said, “I believe that this is all part the healing process.” While there are many missteps along the way, people need to remember that the first step in getting better is to want it. Before we get milk crates …., our community needs to embrace the #soberchallenge. It is not social media ….” that matters.
