According to reports, SpotemGottem, a Jacksonville rapper is fighting for his life after he was shot in the back on Thursday night in Miami. Although there isn’t much information on the shooting, it is being reported that SpotemGottem was reportedly shot five times and is currently in critical condition.
We reached out to the team of the rapper to confirm this story and provide a statement. When we hear back, we will update this article.
SpotemGottem’s hit song “Beat Box” is his most well-known, as are the many remixes he has released since it became a viral sensation. This song became a huge hit on TikTok in early 2018, prompting the “Junebug” dance challenge. After the song became a huge hit, many rappers got on board, including DaBaby and Young M.A, Dreezy and DDG.

UPDATE: SpotemGottem’s legal counsel confirmed that the shooting took place. Complex was told by him, “SpotemGottem suffered from a drive-by shooting today, which left the studio.” Stay tuned for more updates.
