Wendy Williams Is Fighting For Her Life!
Wendy Williams announced that she will cancel all promotional activities ahead of the 13th season’s premiere due to “ongoing medical issues.” A representative for Wendy Williams stated that she plans to attend The Wendy Williams Show premiere in September 20th.
“Wendy is currently undergoing additional evaluations due to ongoing health problems. According to an Instagram statement, she will not be able complete her promotional activities this week but is eager to return to her purple chair Monday, September 20th, for the 13th season premiere.”
The post did not further detail the extent of Williams’ health issues; however, she has taken time away from her show in past seasons to deal with her ongoing battle with Graves’ disease. In 2018, she was diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder.
Page Six reports that Williams is not optimistic about being back in time to host the first episode of her new season.
One source said that people are tight-lipped, but whispers abound that she won’t be there.
Williams has had Nick Cannon, Jerry O’Connell, Sherri Shepherd, and more fill in as guest hosts when she’s taken time away from the show in the past. #wendywilliams
