Murdaugh Murders: Ghostwriter for Court Clerk Breaks Silence on Jury Tampering Allegations
Attorneys representing Alex Murdaugh shocked the Lowcountry when they announced a motion for a new trial for the convicted family killer, citing alleged jury tampering by the clerk of courts. Dick Harpootlian and Jim Griffin said Rebecca Hill, who read the guilty verdict in Murdaugh’s trial, allegedly pressured jurors to reach a verdict and even told them to disregard the disgraced lawyer’s testimony.
