After taking a year off to bask in the limelight and regroup, Big Sean has returned with his fourth studio album, I Decided., one of the most anticipated projects of 2017. Coming off the career-defining effort that was his 2015 album, Dark Sky Paradise, Big Sean looks to solidify his place in the upper echelon of rappers in the game on this outing and finalize his come up from underdog to superstar. Although one of the more low-key and reserved stars in mainstream rap today, Big Sean has plenty to talk about on I Decided., whether it be relationships, family, success and motivation, which are among the topics broached throughout the album’s 14 tracks.

Addressing all of the gossip fodder and unanswered questions that he’s been mum on over the past year, the Detroit rep appears to be more open and vulnerable than ever on the LP while giving listeners a glimpse of his past, present and what he sees in his future. Sean Don isn’t one to revel in being a self-contained soloist, so he rounds up a couple of big names to ride shotgun on the sonic adventure that is I Decided. Jeremih, Eminem, Jhene Aiko, The-Dream, Migos, Starrah and the Flint Chozen Choir make standout appearances over production by the likes of Metro Boomin, DJ Mustard, Wondagurl, DJ Khalil, Detail and Key Wane.

Early favorites from the album include “No Favors,” which finds Big Sean lyrically sparring with Eminem in a display of Motor City love, the melodic hit-in-the-making “Jump Out the Window” and “Sacrifices,” but that’s only a sampling of the enticing fare on this long player.

We took a deep dive into Sean Don’s latest, sifted through the tracks and picked out 20 of the best lyrics on I Decided. Did your favorites make the cut?
