Last week, Sean Kingston and the members of Migos got into an altercation in Las Vegas outside the Sands Expo and Convention Center, with initial reports stating the singer was beaten up, suffering kicks to the head. Kingston appeared on local CBS affiliate 8 News Now to explain the incident, a move the 50 Cent identifies as “RAT shit.”

From the first word of the incident, Kingston looked to clear the air saying, “Do it look like I got jumped?” In speaking with the 8 News Now though, he detailed the altercation saying that he was invited outside to speak and was swiftly jumped instead. “As soon as I went outside it was no talking,” he said. “They just started jumping on me, throwing punches. I didn’t have a chance to put my set up, I didn’t have a chance to do nothing.” Footage showed both acts together beforehand, with no apparent animosity.

The scuffle was eventually broken up when a member of Kingston’s crew fired a single shot into the air. As a result, Mioses Johnson is being charged with felony assault with a weapon and carrying a firearm without a permit for firing a single shot into the air in order to break up the fight. “He held the situation down,” Kingston said. “He wasn’t trying to hurt nobody. He wasn’t trying to do anything.”
