AZ Calls for Action on 'Save Them' Featuring Raekwon and Prodigy

With all of the controversy that is going down in the United States, we can only hope that artists with the right knowledge and passion will use their platforms to spark a change. AZ just released a brand new record called “Save Them,” which sees guest verses from his veteran hip-hop brothers Raekwon and Prodigy.

The trio team up to show off their signature socially conscious mindsets on the new track with each verse being laid over a Buckwild and Jay Allen-produced beat. AZ reflects on questions for the streets, and thinks of the relations between residents and police. He rhymes, “Niggas getting bodied cause of beef and just came home/Shots at policemen, every weekend, it change tones.” Raekwon comes in to provide some gritty conscious lyrics, similar to his signature style from his Wu-Tang days, while Prodigy makes sure to leave us with a powerful finale for the third verse.

AZ is reportedly working on finishing his Doe or Die 2 album, but fans have been awaiting more details on the project for the past few years since he announced it.
