Blac Youngsta Grabs Lil Yachty for ‘Hip Hopper’ Collab

Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta just released a new collab with Lil Yachty called “Hip Hopper,” and it’s produced by Mike WiLL Made-It. Stream the song below.

Mike WiLL gave these two a real spare beat, heavy on the low end but light on the extra instrumentation. Blac Youngsta kicks it off with his verse before he gets into a catchy hook, repeating the last word of every bar three times. Yachty comes in after, talking about a girl doing backflips off some molly.

Mike’s production could be a sly wink at old school rap, which was often bare bones drum and bass. His beat sounds like a take on that, but featuring two rappers like Youngsta and Yachty is almost a way to poke fun at anybody still made at these dudes doing their thing.

In other news, Blac Youngsta was in the lab with Kodak Black recently and got to hear a sneak preview of what Kodak’s been cooking up for his own album. Listen to a snippet here.
