Books, Black Authors and Black History: Celebrating Local African American Authors! EMMY Nominee

I had the pleasure of recording sound for this segment of Trehon’s Time which aired live February 19th 2022 on KOLD News 13 celebrating local African American Authors of Tucson in honor of Black History Month. This episode also found its way as a Rocky Mountain EMMY Awards nominee. Filmed and edited by @ChristianBMeza.

To celebrate Black History Month, Trehon’s Time partnered up with the Tucson Unified School District African American Student Services Department and KOLD News 13 to present “Books, Black Authors and Black History: Celebrating Local African American Authors!” Trehon interviewed eight influential black authors in Tucson, Arizona to speak about their stories of how they became an author, the current state of black culture, and the importance of reading black literature.
