Café Tacvba Enter Their “Futuro” On Galactic Battlegrounds

Weeks after Café Tacvba kicked off the new year with a most befitting song titled “Futuro”, the alt-Latino band swiftly returns with a proper visual, filmed in Buenos Aires and co-directed by Diego Tucci and Rubén Albarrán.

The song, which blends electronica beats and vocals by Rangel and Rubén Albarrán—and humorously explores a relationship with death, is brought to life far out in the galaxy, while the musicians and friends get to cutting up a rug atop a flying bus.

“The relationship between life and death and the perception of time are two themes that ‘Futuro’ explores without solemnity or optimism,” band member Quique Rangel told Billboard. “But it also points to a brighter promise if we allow ourselves to recognize the here and now (without the desire to be a self-help song).”
