California Teen Wears A Ku Klux Klan-Inspired Hood To School

For a California teenage girl, being racist is apparently the latest fashion statement. The student at Highland High School in Bakersfield was punished for wearing a Ku Klux Klan-style hood to school, reports KERO.

Some of her fellow schoolmates took to Snapchat to take pictures of her controversial attire on Thursday (Feb. 2), during lunch.

“I started Snapchatting it because that was terrible. I didn’t like that one bit,” Aidan Reed, a student at the school told the news station. “I think that people should realize it’s not a joke.”

Since the incident, the Kern High School District quickly investigated the matter, and said it was handled accordingly. According to the news outlet, at least one student in connection with the racist act was reportedly suspended.
