Chance The Rapper Ranks Every Kanye West Album
It’s no secret that Chance The Rapper is one of Kanye West‘s biggest fans. As a result, Chano decided to rank Yeezy’s albums from best to worst.
Chance took exception with Complex’s recent ranking of Kanye albums, so the Chicago MC took things into his own hands and posted his list on Twitter. The Coloring Book artist’s order (from best to worst) is as follows: Late Registration, College Dropout, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Graduation, Watch the Throne, The Life of Pablo, Yeezus and 808s & Heartbreak. Check out Chance’s tweets below.
It’s interesting that Chano ranked The Life of Pablo second-to-last, considering he’s featured on the album’s intro, “Ultralight Beam.” Gotta give props to Chance for choosing his list objectively, through a fan’s point of view, instead of placing TLOP at the top of the rankings simply because he has a guest spot on the album.
In case you missed it, be sure to check out the interview in which Chance discusses how hard it was turning down Kanye’s offer to sign with G.O.O.D. Music, instead opting to remain independent. “It’s not easy at all,” Chance explains to ABC’s Robin Miller. “Definitely not telling Kanye no. It’s definitely hard keeping that resistance, but I want to teach people that it’s doable.”
In other Chance/Kanye-related news, a producer recently put together a dope mash-up mixtape of Chano rapping over beats from the Louis Vuitton Don. The project is aptly titled Chance The Dropout.
How am I supposed to keep reading this after you put Late Registration 2nd to last?? *Tyra Banks’ “We were all rooting for you” gif* https://t.co/Kj3nXRCPjv
