Details Surface Of Lee “Q” O’Denat’s Death, Founder Of WorldStar
The unfortunate death of WorldStar founder, Lee “Q” O’Denat was announced on Monday (Jan. 23), but the Los Angeles Times has revealed his cause of death.
While at a massage parlor in San Diego, Calif., the CEO suffered from a heart attack. According to the coroner’s office, the cause behind the heart attack was heart disease, with obesity acting as a contributing factor.

His death was extraordinarily untimely, especially considering the impending Feb. 3 debut of “WorldStar TV.” This would’ve been the digital media platform’s television debut where comedians and hip-hop personalities discuss videos from the site with the help of MTV2. A source revealed that Q was hitting the gym hard lately, preparing to lose weight for the television premiere.
The hip-hop media site honored the “leader and genius” that was O’Denat on Twitter stating, “Q was a brilliant businessman who championed urban culture, ultimately creating the largest Hip Hop website in the world.” They went on to comment on his character, “he was a devoted father and one of the nicest, most generous persons to ever grace this planet.”

But the showering of respect didn’t stop there. Hip-hop artists along the likes of Fabolous, YG, and N.O.R.E. paid homage to the 43-year-old media maven. Fabolous hails Q for delivering “one of Hip Hop’s biggest platforms in this era.
