The African Union has come under fire for terminating the appointment of Arikana Chihombori-Quao, its ambassador to the United States.
A spokesperson for the AU chairman’s office says that she has come to the end of her political appointment after spending three years in the position. But her supporters believe that she is being punished for her views about France’s ongoing influence across the continent.
