Fans can always count on Flying Lotus to provide mellow start-of-summer sounds. The experimental producer shares a new track, “Twin Peaks.”

Using a screen grab from the 1992 horror film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me as his cover art, FlyLo delivers a serene beat that sounds like it could support a slo-mo entrance in a movie. Though the track is just under three minutes long, the loop of the instrumental makes for great replay value.

The L.A. native has been keeping a low profile this year but has remained busy in the lab. Back in January, Lotus and former XXL Freshman Anderson .Paak confirmed that they are working on new music together with Andy telling fans on Twitter “They not ready!” FlyLo has also made his way to the festival circuit this year, appearing at Fortress Festival in April.

This summer, international fans can catch the beat maker overseas as Lotus has scheduled festival dates at Primavera Sound Festival in Spain, Heartland Festival in Denmark and ParkLife Festival in the United Kingdom.

For now, let FlyLo’s latest “Twin Peaks” guide you into summer. Take a listen below.
