Freddie Gibbs Counts His Blessings On ‘You Only Live 2wice’

Life knocked rapper Freddie Gibbs down in 2016. However, the Gary, Indiana rep is moving forward with more caution this year. Today (March 31), Gibbs released his brand new album, You Only Live 2wice, the first project since being released from an Austrian jail to rejoin his friends and family.

You Only Live 2wice is the follow-up to 2015’s Shadow of a Doubt and consists of 8 songs where the 34-year-old rapper muses over his pain and childhood experiences with the streets, church and women. The self-proclaimed Baby Scarfac rode solo on the featureless album, but tapped Kaytranada, BADBADNOTGOOD, Speakerbomb, Blair Norf and many others for produciton.

Back in 2016, Gibbs was arrested for sexual assault in Austria. Fortunately, the “Broken” rapper was acquitted on the charges back in September.
