G Herbo is about to unleash a new project. Today (March 10), the Windy City rapper announced his plans to release a mixtape titled Welcome to Fazoland 1.5 on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17).

The 2016 XXL Freshman shared the news on social media with a snippet of the project. It appears that Don Cannon will be hosting the new tape just like he did for 2014’s Welcome to Fazoland. The original Welcome to Fazoland was G Herbo’s debut release and immediately established him as a force to be reckoned with in the Chicago hip-hop scene.

G Herbo’s announcement comes on the heels of him being named the honorary principal for a day of the South Shore International College Preparatory High School in Chicago. Stanley Coleman Jr., the program manager at South Shore High School, spoke about why the talented MC was chosen for this honor.

“G Herbo embodies class, heart, grit, hope, brilliance, grace, leadership, integrity, elegance, intelligence, kindness, compassion, spirit, courage, strength, determination, dedication, resiliency and fight that has successfully mobilized our youth from the South Side of Chicago to know that their voice can make the difference in the World of Empowerment/Artistic Integrity/Music & Education,” Coleman explained in a statement.

If you are too excited for G Herbo’s Welcome to Fazoland 1.5 and simply cannot wait for its release, make sure to give his new track “For Real For Real” a spin.
