It’s been a couple months since G Herbo dropped a body of work but there’s no doubt the Chicagoan is working. Since releasing the Strictly 4 My Fans mixtape last November as an appetizer to his Humble Beast album, Herbo has jumped on songs with Lil Bibby, Dave East and more. To keep the anticipation of his debut album up and keep his fanbase at bay, the Chi-Town spitter made his radio rounds while in New York recently. The former XXL Freshman stopped by both Hot 97 and Sway in the Morning to unleash freestyles who’ve got to hear to believe.

At Hot 97, Herb chopped it up with Funkmaster Flex and then attacked Cam’ron’s classic “I Really Mean It” beat.

“When they was workin’ I was workin’ harder than ’em/I was smarter than ’em/Bench me, no I never started with ’em/Still I went farther than ’em,” he raps starting at 20 seconds in.

On Sway, Herbo starts spittin’ a capella around the 2:15 mark. “Spit real shit ‘cuz they feel me/Big dog shit, can’t lil’ me/Since 15, niggas tryin’ kill me/Moms livin’ on the odds block like literally/Every second count, goin’ home I couldn’t get locked out/Had to go home with my shit cocked out.”

Check out how each of Herbo’s freestyles match up in the videos below.
