Ice Cube is a bully in the new trailer for his upcoming film Fist Fight. The N.W.A member plays the role of Mr. Strickland, a high school teacher looking for revenge after getting fired. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Charlie Day plays Mr. Campbell, a colleague of Ice Cube’s character who accidently gets Strickland fired.
The trailer shows Strickland challenging Campbell to a fight, which gets everyone in school excited for the brawl. The comedy sees Ice Cube starring as a highly effective brute while Charlie Day plays a bewildered teacher shocked by his fellow teacher’s actions.
Fist Fight is scheduled to premiere on Feb. 17. Tracy Morgan, Christina Hendricks, Dean Norris, Jillian Bell and Kumail Nanjiani are among the notable cast members of the movie.
In addition to this new comedic film, Ice Cube is also set to star in two movies based on the works of Charles Dickens. Last year, the veteran MC landed the role of Scrooge in a remake of A Christmas Carol.
The new version, titled Humbug, will see Ice Cube playing a wealthy real estate agent visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Ice Cube also secured a role in Disney’s adaptation of Dickens’ Oliver Twist. The West Coast legend will play Fagin, a leader of a gang of London pickpockets. Ice Cube is also set to produce the film alongside Marc Platt of Wicked and The Firm’s Jeff Kwatinetz.
