Jay Z Helps Honor LeBron James At Sports Illustrated Gala
Lebron James and his revamped championship season is the reason why Sports Illustrated has named him “Sportsperson of the Year” year for the second time.

James, who was the finals MVP, and now the only player in history to snag 7,000 rebounds, dish out 7,000 dimes and drop 27,000 points, has also been quite charitable since his return to Cleaveland by handing out scholarships for Ohio students and parents. To introduce the player for this honor Hov honored James for his values and business savvy attitude. “He’s a dedicated family man, who married his childhood sweetheart, Savannah, has three lovely children, the son who honors and worships his mother, Gloria, the friend who put his posse in position,” he said.
He also managed to shade Knick’s head Phil Jackson for his “posse” comment about James’ business circle. “LeBron James has provided his friends with that opportunity, and we’ve witnessed their development,” he said.”And if we’re to look up at the scoreboard, very few businessmen are better than Maverick Carter, Rich Paul, Randy Mims and all the rest of the posse behind the scenes that make it look like they’re just hanging out.”
