It looks like one the biggest Air Jordan collaborations will drop this spring when the Jumpman teams up with famed artist KAWS for a special and limited edition project. Announcing the forthcoming partnership via his personal Instagram account with a photo of KAWS’ signature “X” logo on top of the words “AIR” underneath, KAWS confirmed the partnership without providing any in-depth details.

While the collaboration between KAWS and Jordan Brand was often rumored, details on the partnership started to surface online last night when images of an unreleased Air Jordan 4 with KAWS’ signature “X” on the outsole leaked on the internet, causing many sneakerheads to lose their mind over the pair. Shortly after, twitter user @J23app, confirmed the news of the collab by simply tweeting out, “Jordan x KAWS” with the double-eye emoji.

With the news of the collab causing quite the commotion online yesterday, KAWS, also known to the world as Brian Donnelly, went on social media to confirm the release of the project in 2017, ahead of the initial announcement date that was scheduled for a later time.

KAWS’ past collaborations with BAPE and Nike have been some of the most sought-after pieces in streetwear, and now, with Jordan Brand collab on the way, KAWS’ shoe with the Jumpman might be one of the best collabs to release later this year.
