Kaytranada, The Cool Kids, Kevin Abstract and More Will Perform at 2017 Afropunk Brooklyn
Afropunk is back. The festival, which will be returning to Commodore Barry Park in Fort Greene, Brooklyn on August 26-27, features some amazing acts this year.
Sampha, Thundercat, Macy Gray, Kaytranada, SZA, Sinkane, NAO, Willow Smith, Dizzee Rascal, serpentwithfeet, The Cool Kids, Kevin Abstract and many more.
The festival will feature two curated stages: one by Solange’s Saint Heron and another “Kaytranada & Friends” stage featuring Kaytranada, Sango, Karriem Riggins and more.

The festival also announced that it will be traveling to Johannesburg, South Africa on May 11. The theme for this year’s Afropunk is We The People. Read that statement below.

We, the people built this land. Our flesh and blood is present in its buildings, its roads and its bridges. Our souls are its spiritual cornerstone. Our culture is its foundation.
