Kota The Friend Glides for New Song ‘Like Water’

Brooklyn’s own KOTA the Friend drops his new song “Like Water” co-produced by Nimbus Beats. The newest record is off his upcoming sophomore project. The song premiered on Ebro Darden’s Beats1 Radio show. On “Like Water,” KOTA coasts, showing off his smooth style as he rhymes about his past stresses. His previous single was “Lawn Chair,” which was inspired by the time he got stranded in the desert.

Last year, the rising upstart released his debut EP Palm Tree Liquor. The fantastic nine-track EP was a wonderful display of KOTA’s raw talent and potential. His only guest appearance was former XXL Freshman Blu. He’s currently gearing up to release a new project in the coming months. Check out KOTA The Friend’s interview with XXL for The Break.

With his new project coming out soon, KOTA is confident he’s making the best music he’s ever made. “I feel like I really dug deep and created a very honest piece of art,” he said in a recent interview with Gritty Vibes. “I’m also excited about the music that I have yet to make. I feel it coming.”
