Los Angeles rapper Lecrae is not only a musician, but a social activist and best-selling author as well. Today, he teamed up with Ty Dolla $ign to deliver his heartfelt video for “Blessings.” A sneak peak of the video was released yesterday and now, the full version is here.

The four minute visual captures Lecrae rapping outside of his home and kicking it with his loved ones. Being thankful for all of his blessings, the rapper lets his audience know that even the smallest things in life shouldn’t be taken for granted. Directed by Calmatic, someone who has done work with Kendrick Lamar and Jhene Aiko, “Blessings” is a song that mixes both love and emotion with a dope hook provided by Ty Dolla $ign.

“Count it up, count it up, count it up/Line em up, line em up, line em up/Swear the sun shining on me and my huddle, no matter the trouble surrounding us,” Lecrae spits on the opening verse. “They don’t see that’s it a lot of us/Everybody move anonymous/Won’t take that credit, I know where we get it, them blessings be coming from God above.”

With over three million total streams from Apple Music and Spotify, “Blessings” has been gaining the recognition it deserves. The lyric video itself has over one million views. The record was also listed as one of iHeartRadio’s “On The Verge” songs of the month.

The “Cant Stop Me Now” MC is gearing up to drop his eighth studio album and  “Blessings” is said to be the first single from it.
