It looks like Marshawn Lynch is a fan of Sacramento rapper Mozzy. The star running back officially ended his retirement by announcing he’s signing with his hometown team, the Oakland Raiders. Lynch shared the news via a message on Twitter, which seems to reference Mozzy.

“Yes Lawd 12th man I’m thankful but shit just got REAL,” Lynch wrote. “I had hella fun in Seattle… But I’m really from Oakland doe like really really really from Oakland doe… town bizzness breath on me.”

The last three words appear to be a reference to Mozzy’s song “Breathe on Me” from his breakout 2015 album Bladadah. Lynch has been pictured alongside Mozzy, so the two are acquaintances at the very least. It looks like Lynch used his big announcement to shine some light on the rising stars from the West Coast.

Lynch also showed a little love to the Bay Area’s hip-hop scene. Town Business is the name of a 2005 album released by hyphy legend Keak Da Sneak. Lynch has a deep connection to his hometown’s rap scene, and he’s even been caught bumping Lil Yase before, so it’s not surprising to see him incorporate it in his message.

Mozzy’s apparent shout out from Lynch comes at a great time as he vies for a spot in the 2017 XXL Freshman class. The skilled MC recently stated his case for class membership by dropping a song titled “Dear XXL.”
