As promised, Meek Mill delivers new music for his birthday, today (May 6).

Earlier this week, the Philly rapper told fans that a fresh pack was waiting in the wing. This led some to believe that the long-awaited DC 4.5 tape would be coming. But instead, Meek drops off three new bangers in the form of a new project titled Meekend Music. The tape features A$AP Ferg on the song “Lay” and Young Thug on the track “Backboard.” For production on the pint-sized offering, the MMG MC taps Honorable C-Note, Maaly Raw, Murda and Stoopid.

Meek seems to be fully back in music mode as his beef with Drake appears to be over and done with. Rick Ross recently revealed he helped the two bury the hatchet along with Rap-A-Lot OG, J. Prince.

“Me actually sitting down with Drake, shout out to J. Prince,” Ross told Hovain Hylton on an episode of Best Seat in the House about what it took to get the issue deaded. “It was really just… We wasn’t even discussing anything negative because by the time we get in the room, it’s so much other things going on that it’s already, ‘Let’s get on some money.’ But I had to just make sure we at sat down and have some sort of understanding. It’s all about trying to touch nine figures.”

This is Meek’s first project since he dropped DC 4, last October.
