Michelle Obama And Oprah Winfrey Discuss Life After The White House
Ever since it was announced nearly two weeks ago that First Lady Michelle Obama would be saying farewell to the White House in a final interview with Oprah Winfrey, we haven’t been able to snatch our edges back from the melanated royal duo. Well, we can be rest-assured that we won’t have to wait much longer because the interview is set to air on CBS this Monday (Dec. 19).
In a trailer released on CBS This Morning, Oprah and FLOTUS resonate on the topic of hope—the heart of President Barack Obama’s campaign.

Mrs. Obama believes that her husband’s legacy will leave behind traces of just that as she declares “Barack didn’t just talk about hope because he thought it was just a nice slogan to get votes.” She goes on to attest to the fact that she, her husband, and many others believe in the sentiment, “What else do you have if you don’t have hope?”
Foreshadowing the less-than-joyous events that await America within the next four years, First Lady Obama hints that our nation is currently feeling the opposing side of what it feels like to be hopeless.
Check out the trailer below, and tune into CBS on Monday at 8 p.m. EST, and again on Wednesday (Dec. 21) on OWN at 9 p.m. EST for the full interview.
