Nappy Roots, EarthGang and Scotty ATL Reflect for New Song ‘The Void’
Kentucky meets Atlanta when Nappy Roots link up with EarthGang and Scotty ATL. The track “The Void” is off of NR’s seventh studio album, Another40Akerz, out today (April 14).
Over smooth production from SMKA’s own 808 Blake, Nappy Roots, EarthGang and Scotty ATL put their pain on wax for the three-minute banger. “The Void” is definitely a standout on the LP.
Another40Akerz was produced entirely by SMKA’s own 808 Blake and features such artists as EarthGang, Scotty ATL, Jarren Benton, ForteBowie and Micah Freeman.
Aside from music, Nappy Roots will also be releasing their own craft beer called Front Porch Pale Ale on April 17 in collaboration with Atlanta-based brewery Monday Night Brewing to celebrate the release of Another40Akerz.
Back in 2015, Nappy Roots released The 40 Akerz Project, a 16-track LP featuring singles such as “Tokyo” and “Party for the Ages.”
EarthGang, along with fellow Spillage Village members, JB and J.I.D, released their fantastic LP, Bears Like This Too Much, LP last December. The project featured appearances from Quentin Miller and Jordxn Bryant.
Scotty ATL released his mixtape, Smokin on My Own Strain, earlier this year. The 12-track project featured appearances from Curren$y, Kap G, the late Bankroll Fresh and more.
