Emmy Nominated Anthony Anderson.
The Emmys came and went but not before we got a life changing speech from Viola Davis. One of those familiar faces in the crowd, Anthony Anderson, had his first row seat ready to hit the podium. Things went a little different but the diversity of nominees was definitely noted, appreciated and discussed as the hilarious actor stopped by Sway in the Morning to share his experience and more!
As we broke down his night at The Emmys, the laughter was non-stop as he gave us a little insight into how we went from a 9-year old kid in Compton with a dream to sitting front row at the Emmys. Not to mention working with some of the comedic icons in Bernie Mac, Martin Lawrence and Jim Carrey early on in his career. We all know how talented he is but his approach is a humble one when it comes to accomplishments.
“I don’t view it as a talent, I view it as a gift. My responsibility is to share that gift with as many people as I can. I thank GOD everyday.” Well said and much respect. Hopefully this time next year, we will be removing the “nominated” from his introduction and calling him “Emmy Winner” Anthony Anderson. Anything is possible, especially with an attitude like that.
