Aries Spears praised Black Thought for his recent 10-minute freestyle, which led to a comparison about the new crop of rappers today. The famed comedian explained that he’s not mad at the new rappers for being young, he’s mad at them for being “lazy,” adding that they should cut out the “Dr. Seuss” raps and step it up.

During the conversation, Aries also spoke about rap being a franchise and hoping that the new rappers don’t mess things up, which you can hear more about in the above clip.
