Back in the late 1980s Azie Faison formed a rap group called “Mob Style” in an attempt to get kids to stay away from joining gangs and getting into street life. After explaining that he was the pioneer East Coast gangster rapper, Azie said that the group never took off, but he said they went “hood platinum” and served as inspiration for future rappers.
Moving along, Azie spoke about suing New York rapper AZ after hearing his song “Sugar Hill” and feeling that the Brooklyn rapper was using his life as inspiration and profiting off of it. He also shut down rumors that he got a six figure deal out of the lawsuit, as Azie told us that it was more like $35,000.
