In an unlikely music matrimony, Big Boi of Outkast and indie-pop duo Phantogram come together for an album appropriately titled, Big Grams — and they stopped by Sway in the Morning to talk about it.

The project includes dope collabs with Skrillex and Run the Jewels — unparalleled music that actually works! While in-studio they opened up about how they met each other, and why they decided to recruit dope unconventional producers on the project.

Big also revealed his writing process, telling us he writes better during the day, and has a cut-off time — dropping his pen at midnight. He used to write without music, but now he caters to the beat.

Sarah of Phantogram told us she starts with gibberish, securing the melody, as she writes. Interesting!
