Charlamagne On Tyga’s Surprise Album Drop: You’re Not Beyonce

https://www.vladtv.com – A surplus amount of artists have followed in the footsteps of Beyonce by releasing their albums with little or no notice. What many don’t understand, however (according to Charlamagne), is that “Beyonce is a God,” who really went above and beyond on her 2013 surprise album which featured a music video for every track. “Only Beyonce can do that,” Charlamagne Tha God exclaims.

Tyga was one of many to do the same – minus the visuals – and the fact that he did it is what bewilders Charlamagne the most. “I’m not surprised about the album, I’m surprised that Tyga did that,” he says of “The Gold Album” Tyga released via Spotify in late June. “”You don’t have the luxury or the cache, yet, to drop an album, just out of the blue, like, ‘here, f*** it.’ Nah, you just don’t.
