In this clip, Cookie Money discussed the identity crisis many rappers go through in an attempt to portray a street image. Cookie Money believes at least 90% of the rappers that are out pushing a street image haven’t done any work in the streets. He doesn’t see them actually being themselves and said that for the real street dudes in the game, abiding by the street code can prove to be a losing formula. Cookie Money pointed out that he approaches his career like he just left the corner. To him, viewing rap through that frame puts everything in perspective because if he just left the block there’s no way that he wants to go right back. Cookie Money believes rappers that feel the need to stay in the streets are the ones that feel like they have something to prove; something he believes he doesn’t have to do at this point.
