https://www.vladtv.com – In this exclusive with VladTV, former Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel Gibson speaks on stereotypes towards NBA players, his college experience and why some people give in to bribes from talent scouts.
The ball player explains how he beat the typical stereotype of an athlete in high school when he graduated sixth in his class. Gibson admits that his teachers showed him a little favoritism, but he earned his nearly perfect GPA. Instead of jumping straight into the NBA, the 28-year-old went to The University of Texas. He says he wanted to continue his education, but since he only completed two years, he hopes to go back soon.
Gibson also breaks down why some players give into the perks of flashy gifts from scouting agents. While he was tempted into taking bribes to support his family, he didn’t give in because he was fortunate enough to take the high road. His team also provided him with gear and he didn’t want to hurt his chances at the big leagues.
