In this clip, Dizzy Wright gets candid about the lead-up, fall-out, and subsequent dismantling of Funk Volume. Dizzy details how the relationship between FV founders, Hopsin and Damien “Dame” Ritter, dating back to 2015 during the label’s final world tour. He explains how he saw Hopsin upset due to paperwork with Warner who FV had a distribution deal with and how this led to the eventual rift between Hop and Dame. As Dizzy put it, there was a lot of miscommunication and a complete lack of communication between the two at one point.

Dizzy spoke about how Hopsin blocking Dame while they were on tour was another indication of something being unusually wrong. But Dizzy Wright made it clear that the entire situation was a learning experience for both sides. He stated that Hopsin should walk away from this learning to better articulate his issues while Dame should learn to be more transparent about what’s going on with business.
