DJ Paul opened up to VladTV about Three 6 Mafia winning an Oscar for “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp” and what it was like the night of the ceremony. The Memphis rapper explained that he didn’t know what an Oscar was before they were nominated, but DJ Paul says he was blown away when he realized what the nomination meant.

During the conversation, DJ Paul opened up about what went on the night of the awards show, and he revealed that Salma Hayek scolded him for wearing diamonds that she says African people were dying over. DJ Paul also said that he was excited about going to a Prince after party with John Singleton, but they were denied.
