DJ Yella: “F*** Tha Police” Spoke to Something We All Lived

https://www.vladtv.com – NWA founding member DJ Yella spoke to VladTV about the origin of the group’s name, and he admitted that they were hesitant to tell people what the acronym stood for at first. Yella explained, “We would not say what it meant most of the time,” and he added that they would tell people, ” you don’t want to know,” when they questioned about it in person.

After admitting that he thought they were “crazy” for naming their group NWA, DJ Yella added that the meaning, “N****s With Attitude,” was “so far ahead of itself.”

During the conversation the famed producer also detailed the making of the group’s hit song “F*** Tha Police,” which he admitted only took one day to make. Yella also shared his personal experiences with police profiling, which you can hear more about in the above clip.
