Straight from Dallas Texas, Dorrough has been putting on for his city since he blew up with singles like “Ice Cream Paint Job” and “Walk That Way.”

Getting ready for the release of the movie “Carter High” in which he did the soundtrack for, Dorrough stopped by Sway in the Morning to catch up.  With all the continued support he receives from his home state, Dorrough speaks on the possibility to tour the whole state for months.

Coming onto the scene as a mixtape rapper we hear the Texas native speaks on gaining traction with the help of DJ Drama.  Going way back we hear that Dorrough was on the original “Halle Berry” track before it was sold to Hurricane Chris.  The result?  Dorrough says it helped prepare him for the harsh reality of the music industry.

Just recently back from a tour in Japan, Dorrough treats the SITM listeners to a world premiere performing of his new single “Japanese.”  The single contains the Texafornia sound that Dorrough has been perfecting, this will also be the title of his next album.
