Eddie George Speaks Transitioning from Football to Broadway & Names Top 3 Philly Rappers of All-Time

Winner of the Heisman Trophy, NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and racking up 10,000 yards without missing a single start, Eddie George is an all-time NFL great. With his transition from football to Broadway, the Philly native joined the Sway in the Morning crew earlier this week.
Playing the role of Billy Flynn in the Broadway production of “Chicago,” George has some big shoes to fill as previous actors of the role include Usher, Taye Diggs and Wayne Brady. Taking the next step of his career in stride we hear George speak on the importance of finding worth in life after hanging up the cleats. Turning to art as his form of expression, George fills the crew in on his passion for the stage and how voice lessons keep him in tune having no prior singing experience.
During his time, George also highlights his thoughts on the Will Smith movie “Concussion” and his advice for players like Johnny Manziel who are currently struggling to handle the pressures of the league. Before taking off George names his top 3 rappers from his hometown of Philly. With Black Thought taking the top spot we know Eddie George knows his hip-hop.
