https://www.vladtv.com – EPMD spitter Erick Sermon recalled the beef he had with Rakim back in the day during a recent chat with VladTV, and also spoke on the manner in which today’s rapper’s go at each other.

The Long Island native explained that the beef ignited after Rakim rapped about EPMD “getting a smack,” so Sermon fired back on the group’s hit track “You’re a Customer.” While the beef remained strictly lyrical, Sermon says it began to get out of hand, so he and Rakim squashed it in the early ’90s.

Moving on to how rappers beef today, Sermon believes they resort to violence and antics like YouTube videos because they don’t possess the lyrical skill necessary to retaliate using words.
Check out what else Sermon had to say up top.
