Unbeaten American boxer Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. claimed the IBF welterweight title on Saturday after knocking out and fracturing Kell Brook’s left orbital bone. The IBF champion joined us today on Sway in the Morning to talk about his recent victory over Brook, what he learned from sparring with Floyd Mayweather, groupies, and much more.
The 27-year-old revealed that going up against the British boxer was quite challenging, “Just being in the atmosphere of 20,000-plus Kell Brook fans, that can be, you know, mentally demanding on you . . . on your mind.” Although the win was a huge career accomplishment, Spence tells us that he’s looking ahead, as his main career objective is to become undisputed welterweight champion of the world.
