Flashback: Charlamagne Says America Has Shown Us Black Lives Don’t Matter

Last September, Charlamagne sat on the Vlad couch to discuss police brutality and the protests against racial inequality that have made a resurgence in America’s political field. While discussing Black Lives Matter, Charlamange says people who are rebutting BLM with their own “All Lives Matter” campaigns don’t understand the point of the protest.

“We’re talking about ‘Black Lives Matter’ because America has shown us, historically, that maybe Black lives don’t matter in this country,” he continues. “And you know what? Whenever people try to shoot down the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement and say ‘No, all lives matter,’ essentially what you’re saying is, ‘Black lives don’t matter.'”
